Our Methodology

How every engagement is structured

Each engagement at Cahaya Adil follows a consistent structure, regardless of the service selected. The structure exists to ensure clarity at every stage and to give the client a record that stands on its own once the engagement closes.

No work proceeds without the client's knowledge and written acknowledgement. Drafts are shared before they are finalised. Fees are fixed in advance. And every engagement closes with a document the client receives and keeps.

01

First contact and scope discussion

An initial conversation — by telephone, correspondence, or in person — to understand the matter and determine which service, if any, is appropriate. No fee at this stage.

02

Written scope and fee confirmation

Before any chargeable work begins, the scope and fee are confirmed in writing. The client reviews and acknowledges this before the engagement proceeds.

03

Engagement and draft review

The service is delivered as described. Where documents are involved, drafts are shared for the client's review and any changes are agreed before finalisation.

04

Written outcome delivered to client

Every engagement closes with a document the client receives and retains — a summary, a completed notarised document, or a family review report.

Quiet morning consultation
Service 1

Quiet Morning Consultation

A first consultation arranged for the morning hours when the office is at its quietest. The conversation lasts as long as it usefully can, and is followed by a short written summary of what was discussed and what was suggested. There is no expectation of further engagement, and the summary stands on its own as a record you can return to in your own time.

  • Unhurried conversation without a fixed time limit
  • No agenda imposed — we follow your questions
  • Written summary provided within five working days
  • Summary included in consultation fee, no additional charge
  • No obligation to engage further

Notarised document preparation
Service 2

Notarised Document Preparation

An engagement for the preparation of notarised documents related to retirement and pension matters, including statutory declarations, beneficiary nominations, and letters of authorisation. Each document is drafted carefully, shared with you in clean form, and finalised only after your written approval. The notarisation appointment is arranged at your convenience and conducted unhurriedly to allow for any questions you may wish to raise.

  • Statutory declarations for EPF and pension matters
  • Beneficiary nomination forms, legally reviewed
  • Letters of authorisation for pension administration
  • Draft reviewed and approved by you before finalisation
  • Notarisation appointment included in fee, at your convenience

Fixed fee

Enquire

Best for: Individuals who know what documents they need prepared or who have been advised to put their pension nominations or declarations in order and want a careful, professional service.

Family pension review programme
Service 3

Programme for Family Pension Reviews

A long-form programme for families undertaking a considered review of pension and retirement arrangements across multiple members. The programme begins with a private session attended by the parties who wish to be involved, followed by individual reviews and a written family report summarising the present position. The report is then discussed at a closing session, with notes for any follow-up steps that family members may choose to take.

  • Opening session with consenting family members
  • Individual reviews for each participating member
  • Written family report covering all positions
  • Closing discussion session with notes for follow-up
  • All sessions and written report included in programme fee

Fixed fee

MYR 6,580

Enquire

Best for: Families where two or more members have pension or retirement arrangements that have not been reviewed together, particularly where retirement is approaching or family circumstances have recently changed.
